Anyone that has signed up for the Forest of Reading Program is welcome to come to the library during first nutrition break to read for 20 minutes. Please eat in your classrooms and then proceed to the library either for the first or second half of break. Remember to bring your book and passport.

Library helpers are welcome to also come at second nutrition break today!

'Mindfulness Matters' for Grade 3/4/5 meet TODAY !!

Instead of tomorrow (Friday), students in the Mindfulness group will meet today in the Library at the start of the 2nd nutrition break. Please bring your lunches.

Open Gym- RIP KOBE!!!

Any grade 7-8 student who played in the intramural Basketball League may come to the gym today at 2nd NB for an open gym session. Yesterday the Basketball World lost an icon, come today to remember, to shoot, to laugh, to cry. Open to grade 7-8 students only who played in the Intramural Basketball League.

Mindful Moment

HOWEVER, you have permission to write this contest at home.  You can log on to the Caribou site from a home computer/device (i.e., tablet, smartphone) using your Caribou Username and Access Code (as done in previous contests). 

PLEASE NOTE: The contest date and time is WEDNESDAY JANUARY 15^TH FROM 4:00-5:00 PM.

You must write the contest during the specified date during and the one-hour window of time.  It is IMPOSSIBLE to write the contest after said date and time.

We ask you to please respect the following contest rules to maintain fairness:

CONTEST RULES ·         You have 60 minutes to complete the test. ·         If your device is idle for 30 min, the test will close and submit all input up to that point. ·         Calculators are not permitted and are not needed. This includes handheld and on-screen calculators. We recommend using a pencil and paper. ·         You are to write the test individually, with no help from others. ·         During the test, you must not access internet resources other than cariboutests.com If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Miani or Mrs. Ratra.

We will be starting the Forest of Reading which is a reading program that highlights Canadian authors and fosters a love of reading.

If you are interested in joining this club meet Mrs. Gelinas in the Library at 2nd Nutrition Break on Wednesday, January 15th. We will discuss the books and your commitment to reading the books, so that you can vote for your favourite book in April.

Happy first Mindful Moment of 2020 Eldorado!  Hopefully everyone had some time to practice their breathing and mindfulness over the break.  Keep building on the length of time that you practice your mindfulness this weekend, such as taking 5 deep breathes on Saturday, and 6 deep breathes Sunday.

- there is NO history question this test
